Public Safety

By Darrell Usrey

Candidate for Councilmember; City of King City

This information is provided by the candidate
Police and Fire are my main concern for running for City Council. I want to ensure that with all the new homes on the agenda, King City can provide quality services for it's citizens and these agencies will get replacement equipment when they need it.. From it's Fire and Police Personnel, I want their input, as to what would keep them here longer and slow down the turn over rate.

New Developers need to provide the citizens of King City with reasons, why they deserve to use our limited land for development other than financial gain.

As a Correctional Officer for over 21 years, I have experienced that overcrowding leads to more issues than that can be address. No one in this town wants longer lines in any store or heavier traffic at our intersections.

King City should be a place where families choose to live, not just because it offers the most affordable housing in Monterey County, but because it's a safe quiet town as well.
