You elected me four years ago to serve you and asked me to carefully examine all issues with my professional business background. I have done my best to live up to your expectations and hopefully you will support my re-election for another term as your representative.

The next few years are going to be financially critical for our community. We have yet to balance our budget and find the financial solution to keep our city functioning as a viable institution. I find my financial background being challenged at every turn and am so thankful I have the training and knowledge to put toward solving these problems.

I spent 36 years with a Financial Services Company before moving to Pacific Grove full time in 1995. Since that time I have put my retired time to work for the city. I serve as Chairman of the Economic Advisory Committee which directs our city's economic revitalization and promotion. I am proud to have started St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop in Pacific Grove 6 years ago and continue to manage the operation as a volunteer. I also started the Thrift Shop in Seaside 3 years ago and serve as a volunteer and manager at that facility. I am a member of the Finance Committee of St. Angeles Church. I serve on the Monterey/Salinas Transit Board of Directors and the Transportation Agency for Monterey County. I volunteer for Pacific Grove events including Good Old Days, Feast of Lanterns and the 4th of July Celebration. I attend openings of new businesses in Pacific Grove. Because of my past management experiences I was able to bring about a savings in electrical charges for the city in excess of $10,000 per year by bringing about retro fitting of lighting fixtures.

I am eager to continue my service to the citizens of Pacific Grove. I would be honored by your support and vote this November in my bid for re-election.
