Ron Schenk on the key issues

By Ron Schenk

Candidate for Councilmember; City of Pacific Grove; Full Term

This information is provided by the candidate
Financial stabiloity, sewer repair, avoid conflicts and transparency of government continue to be key issues
Financial stability - A high priority is to keep our city a viable institution. Revenue must meet expenses if we are going to remain solvent. We have a lot of work to do in this area.

Sewer repair - is still a major concern. Over the past two years, we have done some work toward ultimate repair and replacement but much more needs to happen and in a more timely manner.

Avoid escalating conflict between residents and business owners - let's not go back to the days where it was a battle between various factions. We all must live here and we must learn to get along. Everyone has the city at heart so let's not escalate conflict. Everyone is important to our future.

Transparency of Government - strides for improvement have been made but there is a lot of work to do. We have too many issues being decided with less than optimum public participation
