Our Airport serves both commercial and general avaition, which provides for a strong economic future for the airport and the surrounding communities
I am a successful businessman (General Manager of the Portola Plaza Hotel...formally the Doubletree)and community leader with a lifetime of being involved in the Hospitality & Tourism Industry. I've been on the Monterey Peninsula Airport Board (appointed) for about 1 1/2 years and understand the necessity and importance of transportation to and from the Peninsula for our number one industry...Tourism.

I have the experience in financial matters...Profit & Loss and Budgets; Marketing; Sales & Promotion; Safety and Security; Human Resources; Guest Service; Operational Policies & Procedures; State & Federal Employment Laws; Construction Management; as well as an in depth knowledge of the Parking and Car Rental Industry.

The Monterey Peninsula Airport must be maintained as a financially self-supporting facility operated on a user-pay basis. We must respond to the public need for additional air transportation while providing safe, secure and efficient air transportation facilities.

Goals & Objectives:

...Revise the Airport Master Plan ...Completion of the "Modernization" Project ...Completion of the "Quick Turn Around" Project ...Safety, Security and being a user friendly facility ...Balance expenditures with Income ...Create new Markets for Airline Service ...Be sensitive to the Airport environmental impact ...Be a good Neighbor
