Council Member; City of Tehachapi

Serving our community has been a passion and privilege of mine for more than 10 years. After moving from Santa Barbara to Detroit, and back to Ridgecrest, finally arriving in Tehachapi 12 years ago, somehow felt like home. To me, a home is an investment. . .a place where you invest your time, energies and finances to provide quality of life, comfort and security for those you care about most. It is a place you take pride in and want it to be it's best. This is the kind of passion I hold for our community. My proven leadership, commitment and investment in our community includes active involvement in City government as a past Planning Commission (3 years), current City Council member (4 years), many civic organizations directly involving the economic growth and development of our community, which has provided me a broad perspective and practical understanding of the many housing and economic development successes and challenges our community continues to face. I share your priorities and concerns including public safety, code enforcement, responsible housing growth, roads, economic growth that is in the best interest of the entire community, affordable housing, adequate health care, and cooperative planning with the County. As a Member of the City Council, I will continue to responsibly address these challenging issues, working together with you and striving to enhance the livability and quality of our community, without sacrificing its unique beauty, identify and heritage.
