Candidate for
Board Member; Rosedale Union School District

As parents of a Rosedale District 8th grader and 5th grader, my wife and I have been extremely happy with the educational opportunities provided to our children in the Rosedale schools. I am proud of the RUSD's reputation for high quality staff and students, involvement of parents and tremendous community support. Our children have thrived in this district, and I want to lend my skills and common sense approach to the Rosedale School Board to continue this tradition of excellence.

My past experience as the Director of the United Way of Kern County, Director of the Kern County Network for Children and now my role as Division Administrator for Child Development & Family Services has provided me with experience in working with diverse groups and managing public funds. I oversee a staff of approximately 350 people and a budget of $52 million.

I am committed to using funds effectively and efficiently, and am dedicated to doing what is best for children in the Rosedale District. As a Board member I will be focused on solutions, not politics.
