Biographical Highlights
  • Occupation: Retired Educator/Administrator
  • Thirty-three years experience in Elementary Education
  • Thirty-one years in the classroom as a teacher and two years as a Vice Principal in the Bakersfield City School District
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Science (CSU - Fresno) and Master's Degree in Educational Management (University of LaVerne)
  • Lifetime resident of Bakersfield with two children who attended Bakersfield City Schools
  • Knows and understands the concerns of the parents, teachers, students, and members of our community
  • Will not be a "part time" trustee. I will work everyday to make the district better and find workable solutions to its problems
Top Priorities if Elected
  • Establish an attitude of teamwork and shared responsibility between parents, teachers, administrators and the Board of Education.
  • Obtain funding to build three new schools, to modernize present schools and insure children's safety at all schools.
  • Decrease class size and treat teachers as professionals in order to recruit and retain highly qualified teachers.
