Friends of Education:

Let's ensure every school is a quality school... and every student has an opportunity for a quality education!

As the father of a wonderful junior at Stockdale High School, a proud graduate of South High School, a member of the KHSD Parent Advisory Committee, and as a part-time college-level government instructor, I know first-hand how hard our teachers work to provide many fine academic and extra-curricular programs.

But as CEO of a local software development company, I also know that many students leave high school unprepared for the world of work.

My top priority as a Trustee will be creating vocational education/career opportunities that equip our students with the skills employers need.

Improving our high schools starts at the top -- with the Board of Trustees. We must be relentlessly committed to providing both high-quality academic opportunities for the college bound at all our schools + and rigorous, real-world educational experiences for the career focused.

We must also respond to growth by building new schools cost effectively, drawing simple and fair attendance boundaries, and attracting quality teachers.
