Why I am the best choice for Ward 4

By Frank Quattro

Candidate for Board Member; Contra Costa Community College District; Ward 4

This information is provided by the candidate
As a former teacher and graduate of the Contra Costa Community College system, I believe that our community colleges need balanced and improved leadership from the Governing Board.

We must restore fiscal responsibility and sensible budgeting. We can no longer waste millions of dollars on failed projects like the recently defunct Regional Training Institute.

We must attract and retain the best faculty.

In turn, this will boost academic performance and help retain students. The more students the colleges can attract and retain, the more revenue will come in to improve programs and facilities.

The complacency of the current Board leadership is a disservice to the colleges and the students they serve. We must focus our resources on educating students.

I'm a small business owner, and want to give my time and talent to an organization that set the stage for my current success. My background gives me a unique perspective and the necessary skills to be an effective problem-solver on the Board.

With your support, we can reinvigorate the Board and ensure our colleges are providing education and opportunity for all Contra Costans.

I am endorsed by educators, business and community leaders.

I ask for your vote. Thank you.
