Completion of Community Center and Youth Facilities

We need to complete the Town's Community Center project. We must also include sports and recreational facilities for our children in the Center's vision. Clearly we need to support our youth's recreational needs as a priority. It is essential that a community has a public facility to gather and host community functions and group events for all ages and abilities.
We have a current contract with the primary developer of Discovery Bay (referred to as a "Condition of Approval") to provide land and 1/2 of the cost of construction of a community center for Discovery Bay. We have already secured an additional $500,000 toward construction costs from another developer (project). We are in the final stages of site selection, and soon will begin development of this much needed facility.
