Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of San Pablo

This information is provided by the candidate

It has been a privilege to serve you these past four years as Mayor and Councilmember. I have worked hard to improve the quality of life for our children, seniors and families.

I believe that our wonderful city is on a continuum of great success and opportunity. As Mayor and Councilmember, I am proud of my accomplishments in the area of economic development, public safety, housing and youth services.

1. Youth Services: I initiated the development of a Youth Task Force at the Council level to ensure the inclusion of our youth's input for youth services. I also supported investing more money in our after school programs for accomplishing academic improvement and excellence.
2. Public Safety: I supported the hiring of additional police officers to better serve our residents. We continue to maintain a lower crime rate than our neighboring communities.
3. Housing: Two of our largest mobile parks and their current tenants were protected with the option for new housing at their current rent or relocation. Homes are being built at Giant Road at attainable rates and 132 rental units at Brookside Drive "El Paseo are available for low income families.
4. Economic Development: Casino San Pablo is producing 500 jobs and generates over $9 million annually. The 23rd St. Business Revitalization Project is redesigning 23rd st. and Market St. for safety and better traffic flow for small businesses.

I pledge to continue to work hard to improve our quality of life. My community priorities include:
1. Continue our partnership with our school's to enhance safety and academic excellence for all our children.
2. Build a Youth Center and cntinue to provide quality after school and summer recreational programs.
3. Promote business opportunities and leadership through the creation of a Merchants" Association.

Let's continue building a better San Pablo together. I ask for your vote.
