My philosophical belief is both conceptual and trangible from the perspective of involving the community as a whole and the function of the city council. I believe that a politican must be approachable, a good listner, and objective in his/her view point in order to buid a platform from which to work. With this phylosophy in mind, I plan to initiate the following plans of action:

1. Eradicating violence and crime by introducing a user-friendly policing prorgam on the city's web site.

2. Implementing a truancy program through the Chief of Police and the Superintendent of Schools to insure that students are in the classroom and off the streets during school hours.

3. Getting youth off city streets at night by reinstating night basketball programs, Pop Warner football, junior Giant baseball activities, and reopening recreational centers.

4. Ensuring senior saftety and well-being by changing the mindset of housing authority officials and senior citizen providers through sensitivity training;.

5. Help alleviate issues surrounding the lack of employment opportunities; the inability to secure home owernship loans; the frustraitons associated with combating poverty; and African Americans' despair, rejeciton and hopelessness that has turned into rage, anger and violence.

6. Developing and implementing human-development programs to install self-worth, confidence, and pride in city residents.

7. Make Richmond more inviting by improving the infrastructure, eradication of blight, cleaner streets, manicured medians and parks, and up-dated directional signs, etc.
