I wholeheartedly support Bond Measure J for the Yuba Community College District and agree that the funds should go towards improving and expanding facilities, which best serve the STUDENTS with their scholastic studies.

The District's Facility Master Plan for use of $31,000,000, which would be distributed under Measure J, is unclear and should be refined to focus on the best interest of the students. The current plan allows for the construction of a facility on the Highway 99 corridor in Sutter County for the proposed use of classrooms and a new District Administration Offic. The plan is unclear as to the size of the facility, reported as either a 30,000 or 50,000 square foot facility. I am definitely in favor of a permanent facility in Sutter County which would house 10-12 contemporary classrooms, however, applying the proposed funds to a new District Administration Office is not the best use of such resources.
