Candidate Ballot Statement

By David G. "Dave" Haubert

Candidate for Governing Board Member; Dublin Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Please read this important statement which is entered exactly as it will appear in the official voter ballot on November 7, 2006.
Four years ago, I promised three things:

1) give students and teachers the resources they need for success,

2) create a safe learning environment and

3) use tax dollars more efficiently.

During my term Dublin's district-wide test scores have risen every year, students feel safer on campus and we have increased spending on books and supplies while balancing the budget every year.

Working together, we can accomplish even more!

My second term will focus on raising the bar at Dublin High, improving stakeholder satisfaction and balancing growth city-wide.

At Dublin High I support more Advance Placement (AP) classes to challenge our highest achieving students, strong character education programs so our children grow to be good citizens and higher standards so that all Dublin students graduate fully prepared to enter the work force or go directly to college.

I will work hard to ensure that all stakeholders have a voice in the district. I spearheaded the effort for district surveys so that we can hear what people have to say and I promise to fight to continue surveys each year.

I am committed to improving the facilities at each of our campuses. Aging school facilities must be rebuilt and new schools must be built on time to meet the needs of our growing city.

I am committed to the success of all Dublin students.

I would be honored if you would vote for David Haubert on November 7. I can be reached at (925) 786-5476 or e-mail at davidhaubert@comcast.net.

Sincerely,

Dave Haubert
