My career of public service spans over 30 years. For the past 5 years, I have been helping the people of Riverside County, as a teacher and public defender. As a teacher in the Palm Springs Unified School District, I was assigned to a group of middle school kids that could barely read or do simple math. By the end of year, many of these kids were talking about going to college. Now I am a public defender, representing the poor and minorities in Indio, CA. I ensure that their rights are protected in a system that would otherwise swallow them up.

I know how the federal government works and how it should work. As a federal attorney for the FCC and ICC for over 23 years, I drafted federal laws and developed policy, which protected the public from unfair telemaketing and transportation practices.

In sum, I have a solid background in federal legislation. Most importantly, I have lived in Riverside County for 5 years- working in the trenches of a middle school classroom or an Indio courtroom. Always there for you.
