Republicans are failing California - breaking their promises to our schools, neglecting our freeways, and turning healthcare into a giveaway for insurance companies.

We need representation in Sacramento that will stand up for us: demanding real healthcare reform, seeking a fair share of state funding for all our schools and defending a woman's right to choose.

Born and raised in Alameda County, I've spent my career as Fire Chief doing my part to make our community the special place it is.

I've worked with teachers and parents to get more funding for our schools, rebuild classrooms and improve campus safety.

I helped keep our emergency rooms open, make healthcare more affordable for children and seniors, and protect a woman's right to choose.

As a life member of the Sierra Club, I worked to preserve wildlife habitat, restore trails and protect our parks and open space.

And I'm leading the effort to keep our communities prepared and safe in case of earthquakes and other disasters.

I'm extremely grateful to have the support of dozens of community leaders, teachers and healthcare workers.

It would be my privilege to represent you in Sacramento. I respectfully ask for your vote.
