In contrast to the Bush Administration's misguided war in Iraq and its misleading approach to anti-terrorism, Bill McCammon has been a leading voice for common-sense steps to improve security at home. Firefighters under his command have taken part in search and rescue operations following every recent major national disaster, including the World Trade Center attacks in New York and Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Bill McCammon has devoted his career to helping people in harm's way.
