Jim Keller lives in Pasadena, where he works at Caltech as an educational content producer for NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. Like so many others, he came to Southern California at age 19 to pursue an acting career. Success in that field never came to pass, but he remains a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), and Actors' Equity Association (AEA), where he is active in the Equal Employment Opportunity Committee and heavily involved in the annual Ivy Bethune Diversity Awards.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Jim studied Theatre and Classics (that's Latin and Greek language and culture), and also took several geology and film classes.

Jim's father is a retired U.S. Navy officer, and his mother is a school administrator and physics teacher. His large extended family includes several medical professionals, a welder, computer scientists, and a pilot. Jim lives with his longtime companion, scenic and lighting designer Christopher R Boltz, and three cats.
