William (Bill) Jenkin was born in San Diego County in 1956. His mother was a machinist at Rohr and his stepfather a local truck driver. Bill is the youngest of three siblings, happily married with a daughter who is expecting her first child. His daughter is a high school English teacher at Orange Glen High School and his son-in-law a Warden for the California Department of Fish and Game.

Bill is a graduate of the University of Redlands with a degree in Business Management. At age 30 he began a career with Farmers Insurance. For the past 19 years, Bill has owned and operated a Farmers Insurance Branch.

A staunch activist in the community, Bill and his wife Jennifer were the first husband and wife team elected to the Ramona Chamber of Commerce. Bill's work in the community has not gone unnoticed, for the past two years he was nominated for Ramona citizen of the year.

In 2004, Bill and Jennifer opened Pamo Valley Vineyards & Winery. They produce fine wines from grapes grown in the district.
