The Millerton Area Watershed Coalition is community-based program in the Sierra Foothill area of Eastern Madera and Fresno County encompassing 250 square miles of the upper San Joaquin River watershed. The program is operating under a grant from the California Bay-Delta Authority (formerly CALFED, a state and federal water quality consortium). Responsibilities include program planning, management, watershed assessment, public education, vocational programs, local employment, collaborative arrangements between diverse interest groups, progress reporting and the local implementation of the Authority's statewide goals and objectives of watershed (source) protection and enhancement.

February, 1993 - June, 2001: Senior Program Manager, Getronics - Americas (formerly Wang Global)

Getronics is a $3.4 Billion Global Information Technologies Services Company, headquartered in the Netherlands, with US operations headquartered in Billerica, Massachusetts. The company has a workforce of 34,000 with a presence in 130 countries. Assigned clients included LSI Logic, Department of Family and Children Services - State of Illinois, Western Digital, Abbey National Bank (UK) and Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Responsibilities have included managing a group of project managers and senior technical personnel in the introduction of new application systems into data centers; Business Development and Sales support. Assignments have included the United Kingdom, Netherlands and South Africa focused on Program/Project Management, Operations and Sales Support.

Prior Occupation/Responsibilities:

Over 7 years as a Business Planner and Project Manager for the large-scale computer manufacturer, Amdahl Corporation with $3.5 billion in sales. Involved in international production planning and contract negotiations in support of manufacturing operations in Ireland and Japan. He had been professionally involved in high technology for 25 years. Other representative technologies include Lasers, Telecommunications and Medical Instrumentation.

Synopsis of Non-Profit Organizational Responsibilities:

For over 20 years involved in community and regional land use issues covering future urban development, park planning, cultural and natural heritages, historic preservation and recreational opportunities. Geographical areas of involvement have been in San Francisco Bay Area, Sierra Nevada foothill and wilderness areas, Arizona/California desert regions, Northern Mexico and South Africa.
