"POLITICS AS USUAL" (or "deja vu - all over again")

Elect the "CONSERVATIVE ALTERNATIVE" - and fire a new "Shot Heard 'Round the World"
CARLSBAD (19APR2006) - On this anniversary of "The Shot Heard 'Round the World," it seems appropriate to fire off a round of my own.

In just one week, the hue and cry of "It's time for a change!" has reverted to "Politics as Usual," here in the 50th District.

The major print and electronic media are treating the Special Run-off Election (June 6th) as a two-person race - Democrat v. Republican (capital "R"), when in reality, there are 4 candidates on the ballot.

With regard to the "Democrat" and "Republican" (a carpetbagger "living with his mother" to appear to be a resident of the 50th) candidates, conservative Democrats and conservative Republicans, respectively, must be holding their noses as they contemplate voting the Party Line. The "Democrat" is a classic liberal, and the "Republican" is no conservative.

There IS a Constitutional republican, William Griffith, on the ballot. (http://www.williamgriffith.us) There is also a Libertarian. Of the two "other" candidates, William Griffith - until 2002, a lifelong Republican - is "the Conservative Alternative" to the mainstream media darlings.

Where is the independence of thought that made this country great? The time is NOW to elect a TRUE conservative republican (for the context of "republican" - lower case "r" - see Article IV, Sec. 4 of the U.S. Constitution) to Congress, and yet most voters are being led by the mainstream media to believe that their only choice is to vote "Party."

The voters of the 50th have a chance to make history - to create a NEW model for Congressional representation - by electing me, William Griffith, on 06JUN. If, after 6 months, voters think it was a mistake, THEN they can go back to the same old Party thing.

Don't fall for "Politics as Usual."
