1. Education. The universal child care program can be effective for a new generation of children who will have long-term benefits through their future academic success as a result of attending school early. Dial a teacher program will generate parent involvement in the school as well as assist parents in helping their children with homework. Additionally, community college fees must be rolled back so that students will not be priced out of an education they so desperately need.

2. Health Care. Each citizen should be entitled to health care. I support universal health care. I believe we must have more grants for diabetes and hypertension prevention. We must also have the restoration of the Trauma Center at King/Drew Medical Center, as well as the other 5 medical departments which must meet accreditation standards. Our goal must be to return the hospital back to its original level of medical services.

3. Crime Prevention. We can assist our school police and other law enforcement agencies when we utilize technology such as cameras on police cars and in high crime neighborhoods as a means of deterrence and to record contacts and develop effective training for officers.

4. Economic Development. We need to establish tax breaks for affordable housing projects and support for Project Labor Agreements. There should be an evaluation of reasonable fees to retain filming projects within the city versus Canada and other countries.

5. Transportation. Support for a more developed rail way in the Los Angeles Area including the Exposition Line. Use of one way streets to defer excess traffic in high density areas during rush hours. Implementation of 4 day work weeks in our major corporations and institutions to lessen the individuals who need to be driving.
