Candidate for
Member of the State Assembly; District 57; Democratic Party

Having lived, worked, raised a family and served as a local City Council Member, Renee Chavez has the unique insight into the 57th Assembly District that will make her an effective legislator in the State Assembly.

Renee Chavez has been a resident of La Puente since the age of 6, when she moved with her parents from East Los Angeles. Chavez attended local schools and ultimately graduated from the La Puente Adult School Registered Dental Assistant Program. She has since worked as a Registered Dental Assistant in West Covina for the last 21 years.

In March of 2003, Renee Chavez was elected to the La Puente City Council. During her tenure on the council, Renee has proven to be an effective advocate for her community. She has worked to ensure the cares and concerns of her constituents are addressed in a meaningful way and that practical solutions are identified and implemented to improve the quality of life for residents in the city.

Renee Chavez currently lives in La Puente with her husband, Assembly Member Ed Chavez, and 3 children.
