United States Representative; District 11; Republican Party

Tom Benigno is a California native, born in Oakland, where his parents owned and operated grocery stores and a bakery. Early in 194l the Benigno family moved to Stockton and Tom began his career as a farmer. In 195l Tom settled in Escalon. While very much involved in farming, Tom ventured into the grocery business and ultimately owned three stores, Tracy, Castro Valley and Dublin. Tom became quickly known for his success as a retailer and and agri-businessman. While operating both his farm and retail operations, Tom's conservative voice was regularly heard at City Council, Board of Supervisors and other Government meetings. Eventually Tom self produced, self hosted a current event T.V. show called Citizen's Voice which has been a hit for eight years. Tom's involvement in politics became much deeper in 2000 when he was elected to the Republican Central Committee. Later Tom ran for State Assembly and then later for Congress and then again for Congress in 2006. Tom has been married for 47 years and has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. Tom has lived and worked in the 11th Disrict for the last 70 years. Tom pledges to make our district a better and safer place for our families to live, work, and play. Most of all, "I pledge to uphold the Constitutions of California and the United States of America, so help me God."
