Principled Leadership

I offer Principled Leadership. I will listen to your concerns and needs and apply proven foundational principles to find solutions to today's tough issues.

Unlike other politicians who take polls to find out what is popular and vote accordingly, I will study the issues and determine the best position and lead out with a solution. If I learn new information that applies to the issue, I will not hesitate to alter my position. David Crockett said, "Be sure you are right and then go ahead."

As an elected official, I have a proven track record of bold leadership and have helped the Santa Ana Unified School District refocus on academic achievement.

America is a Constitutional Republic. We live by a written document, the Constitution. Elected officials take the oath of office and promise to defend the Constitution against all of its enemies, foreign and domestic. If we want America to continue to be the greatest nation on earth, we have to continue to live by these foundational principles.

Our flag salute states, "I pledge allegiance to the flag and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands." As a Republic, we have a representative government. We do not have a pure democracy where people vote on every issue. But rather we elect people of integrity, experience, and qualifications to look at the issues and vote their conscience. It is important that we elect respected men and women to represent us.

Being a first generation immigrant, coming from Guatemala when I was six, when Guatemala had become Communist, I grew up with a great love for freedom and America.

I believe America is facing critical times that demand moral and principled leadership. I am the right person, at the right time, for the right office.
