Position Papers
Illegal Immigration
We must first secure our borders, then enforce our laws, including employee sanctions. I oppose another amnesty and a guest worker program. We must streamline our immigration and citizenship process. It will take our three institutions: Government, Church and Family to restore order and solve our immigration crisis.
Reform Education
As an elected Santa Ana School Board Member I have succeeded in ending Bilingual Education, exposing the failure of whole language reading and fuzzy Math. Now with English instruction, a new phonics-based reading program, and a basic math emphasis, our test scores are going up. I also established a required United States Constitution Test for all eighth graders. As your congresswoman, I will work to protect local control, and advocate that our schools stay focused on academic achievement.
Reducing the Tax Burden and Strengthening Families
We must reduce the tax burden on our working families. Congress needs to find ways to decrease the size of government. I am an author of the Parental Notification Initiate. I will look at each bill that is presented to Congress and make sure it strengthens the family.
