County Supervisor; County of Sonoma; Supervisorial District 4

The Board of Supervisors makes decisions that affect us all. The problem is that they are not planning far enough ahead, and too many of their decisions are bad for our future. In the 12 years my opponent has served on the Board, our transportation network has become worse, housing has become anything but affordable, development continues to sprawl, and huge unanswered water and wastewater issues face us.

I'm a planner, both by education and career, and I know we can--and must--do better. I also know how: I have a proven track record of turning Windsor from runaway sprawl into a nationally-recognized example of great planning--and a great place to live and work.

What we need is a Board with a real vision for this County, that deals with issues head-on before it's too late, and that knows how to preserve our unique quality of life while building a strong, sustainable local economy. I want this job because I love this place and I can lead change.
