Smart Voter Full Biography for Gregory A Loew

Candidate for
Democratic Party County Central Committee; County of San Mateo; Supervisorial District 3

This information is provided by the candidate

While I am an engineer and a physicist by training and by profession, I have been very active in the Democratic Party for about twenty years. I have worked for numerous presidential campaigns, as well as for congressional campaigns supporting Anna Eshoo, California campaigns for Assemblymen Ted Lempert, Joe Simitian and Ira Ruskin, and for the San Mateo County campaign for Supervisor Rich Gordon in the 3rd district were I am currently running for the second time for Central Committee membership.

During the 1970's and early 1980's, I created and taught a Freshman and Sophomore Seminar at Stanford University on "The Problem of War and its Causes". This was one of my great life experiences. It opened my eyes to the importance of electing wise, well informed and rational politicians, who will engage in war only as an absolute last resort.

In recent years, I have written and published articles about our federal deficit, the future of Social Security and the war in Iraq.

I am very proud to be a Democrat!
