Green Party County Council; County of San Mateo

I have lived my whole life in this Congressional District. I am very well informed of events and problems in this area. I have been politically active for decades and have become increasingly more concerned about the deterioration in the living standards of our working families. I have seen this decline first hand. I am distressed that the services available to me as a young person (education, job security, public services and healthy environment) are not there for young people now.

I know that many citizens feel that they have no influence on our government and they no longer bother to vote. They are correct in their feelings of disempowerment, but to no longer participate is an error. Without the active involvement of all of us; the situation will get worse.

I joined and became active in the Green Party when I realized that the Democratic Party was not working in the interests of the working people.
