Candidate Statement

It is my privilege to represent you on the Board of Supervisors. I thank you for the trust and confidence that you have placed in me.

I work hard for you on the issues that matter most.

To ensure that your tax dollars are used wisely, I worked to create a system that links spending to specific results. I make certain that county services are citizen oriented.

I worked to protect our agricultural and open space lands. My efforts will guarantee that a new coastal trail is created when the Devil's Slide Tunnel opens.

As a member of the Transportation Authority, I developed traffic improvements and increased transit choices. As Chair of the Housing Trust, I am helping create housing for our children and workforce.

I led the effort to use tobacco tax dollars to guarantee that all children are provided health and dental care and that parents have additional child care choices.

I believe that public service is a calling and I take my responsibilities seriously. I listen carefully, study the issues, and make decisions mindful of the common good. I now seek a final term on the Board of Supervisors. I would value your vote.
