Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Larry "Jake" Kincaid

Candidate for
Superior Court Judge; County of San Diego; Office 36

We must remember that our founding fathers were very wise men that created a Constitution meant to last for the ages. They carefully considered the possibility that the elites would attempt to take the government and deny the people's voice. That is why there are checks and balances. That is why the LEGISLATURE writes the law, and the judges enforce the law. It was never meant to be a living document that changed at the whim of a judge. The words written by our founding fathers have meaning and must be followed exactly as they are written.

Crime is always a big question in voter's minds and every candidate for judge tells you that he or she is tough on crime whether it is true or not.

I will tell you something different. I will tell you that I have been at the crime scenes with the victims. I have bandaged their wounds, soothed their fears, rescued them and held a few in my arms while comforting them in their last moments. I have arrested the suspects and have seen them in their element, not just as they look when being cleaned up for trial. I know what their lives are like and who they are when they are not cleaned up and smiling for the court. I have seen innocent people detained and arrested, and understand the importance of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. However, you can trust from my experiences as a deputy sheriff that if someone is convicted, they will be sentenced for their crime. They will not be molly coddled. They will not be cried over as a victim of society. They will do their time and society will be protected from those that prey upon the innocent.
