THE 2010 PLAN: A STRATEGY FOR DEMOCRATIC SUCCESS IN SAN DIEGO

As the Chair of the San Diego County Democratic Central Committee I led the effort to develop this plan which is now in the implementation phase. It is my goal to continue on the Central Committee as Chair for another two years to continue to lead the implementation of this plan.

GOAL 1: CANDIDATE DEVELOPMENT

OBJECTIVE 1.0: Adopt a long-range plan to identify, recruit, and develop Democratic candidates.

OBJECTIVE 1.1: Provide support and training for Democratic candidates.

GOAL 2: ELECTION PROGRAMS

OBJECTIVE 2.0: Increase Democratic voter registration and turnout in San Diego County.

OBJECTIVE 2.1: Train and deploy a network of volunteers to support programs, operations, and targeted campaigns at the direction of the Party.

OBJECTIVE 2.2: Monitor and improve election systems in the county to ensure their fairness, openness, and integrity.

GOAL 3: COMMUNICATIONS

OBJECTIVE 3.0: Develop a detailed marketing plan to define and promote the Party.

OBJECTIVE 3.1: Maintain a strong communications program to advance the Party's mission and message.

OBJECTIVE 3.2: Organize an effort to reach out to and strengthen ties with the Party's diverse constituencies.

GOAL 4: FUNDRAISING

OBJECTIVE 4.0: Improve relations with existing and prospective donors

OBJECTIVE 4.1: Build a broad, sustainable fundraising base with tiered levels of giving.

OBJECTIVE 4.2: Finance and manage an effective member communications program.

GOAL 5: INFRASTRUCTURE

OBJECTIVE 5.0: Governance by the Central Committee and Executive Board

OBJECTIVE 5.1: Management of the SDCDP office

OBJECTIVE 5.2: Support the Party's operations and increase productivity with the intelligent use of technology
