The position of County Central Committee occurs "down ballot" and is often considered of little importance to the voter. And, therefore is skipped by many voters. However, I feel the participation of "citizen activists" in the developement and implementation of Democratic Party philiosophy, the recruitment of candidates, the evaluation and endosement of candidates, is the real root in grassroots participation. I have worked with the County Central Committee and believe it to be an integral part of the political system.
