Position Papers
Making San Jose "Open for Business"
Many neighbors tell me they want grocery stores, and more retail and other resident-friendly businesses downtown and throughout our neighborhood business districts. But the City seems to have lost sight of what we must do to fill our empty storefronts.
Open and Honest Government
We have seen and heard too much cynicism about politics in this city. I believe that we can restore faith in City Hall with open, honest government. As Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis said many decades ago, "sunlight is the best disinfectant."
