Political Philosophy for Daniel J. Lowenthal
Candidate for |

|
Let me begin by thanking you for taking the time to visit this website. I feel honored and privileged to have had the opportunity to spend the past 11+ years of my legal career working as a criminal prosecutor and manager of an employee relations group for the City of Los Angeles. It is now my desire to continue my public service as a member of the judiciary. The cornerstone of our tripartite system of government is an independent judiciary. I believe that judicial independence is best achieved when our trial court judges are elected, and accountable to the public, rather than appointed by the executive branch. Therefore, I have formally initiated a humble but earnest bid for election to the Los Angeles Superior Court. I will draw upon my civil and criminal trial experience to handle matters in a fair and efficient way that avoids unreasonable delay and expense for litigants and the general public. I will strive to meet the demands of our communities for justice, and establish a court that is entirely considerate of the people who use it. I am dedicated to this campaign, embrace this challenge and look forward to the opportunity to serve. Thank you for your consideration and I welcome your thoughts, suggestions and assistance as I embark upon this exciting new venture. Yours Truly, Dan Lowenthal |
