PARTY AFFILIATIONS

My political philosophy as to party affiliations is as follows: Because the office of Superior Court Judge is nonpartisan, I do not believe it is proper or important to put an emphasis on party affiliation. Suffice it to say I promise to treat all persons of each political party, religion, nationality, race etc. with equal fairness.

VOTER PAMPHLET

I do not have a 200 word statement in the voter pamphlet because of the high cost to obtain it. The estimated cost is $45,000.00 in English only and $90,000.00 for both English and Spanish. If someone was to pay all or part of that for me, they might expect judicial favors. My term as judge will be based on fairness. It will not include judicial favors.

SLATE MAILERS

My political philosophy as to slate mailers is as follows: I will not pay money to be on a mail out "slate". The reason is that most slates have a certain agenda or purpose other than just to inform the voter. Many of the slate mailers are out there just to make money. While they may say they have one agenda, the truth is they are just looking for someone to pay them money. Other slate mailers may have a hidden agenda trying to get someone elected that will vote or judge in a manner desired by the promoters of the slate mailer. I will not promise to be a certain kind of judge for an organization to put my name on their slate. My promise is to be fair and just to all persons. If you do read a mail out slate, be sure to read all of the small print and information identified with an asterisk (*). That information can be very educational.

CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS

If you want to support my campaign for judge by sending me a monetary contribution you can do so by mailing a check to Larry Layton for Judge at 3807 W Sierra Highway, suite 206, Acton, Ca. 93510. I assure you that the money will NOT be spent on SLATE MAILERS. It will be used to send out personal 5x8 post cards (nothing really fancy and glossy) to those who may not see my web site here on smartvoter.org/vote/layton. By the way, please tell everyone you know where to find me here on smartvoter.org. It will assist them in not only learning more about me, but other valuable information to use in deciding how to vote.

Of course your contribution to me will not get you any special favors. It will only help get you a judge that will be fair, just and respectful to you and start court promptly on time trying not to waste any of your time.

One other thing, if you contribute $25.00 to $99.00 please include your name and address with the zip code. If you can help me with $100.00 or more please include your occupation and employer or if self employed the name of the business as these items are required by the law. Please don't send cash as that too is not permitted.

If you can't send me any contributions but still want to help me get to be your judge you can hand out my 5x8 cards to everyone you know or just tell them about me and then vote for me. My telephone number is (661) 269-law1 (661) 269-5291.

This is my political philosophy on campaign contributions and thanks again for any help!
