As a criminal prosecutor since 1989, I have worked to uphold the law, to protect the rights of victims of crime and to defend the Constitutional rights of all. A criminal prosecutor has a special responsibility to insure fairness in court proceedings and respect for all who come to be heard. Public service is a commitment to equal justice under law. The community has a right to expect nothing less.

During my daily work in the courtroom, my responsibilities have been to do justice, advocate the rights of victims, deal fairly with defendants, and know the applicable law. In the hundreds of criminal jury trials that I have prosecuted, and the thousands of cases resulting in convictions that I have handled over the past 17 years, I have served faithfully as the People's representative in pursuing the fair and impartial administration of the law.
