The City of Torrance suffers from a lack of elderly afordable housing, parking, traffic congestion, and uncontrollable points of commerce; I plan on solving these problems.
The city of Torrance is suffering from a lack of elderly affordable housing and parking shortage. In addition, growth in the city has caused a tremendous burden of public safety concerns and traffic congestion. These problems can be solved through dynamic and innovative approaches. The city is rich in terms of per capita spending. Through communication with business owners and appropriate city planning, the trade of businesses can be enhanced and improved by the city, providing additional cash flows. Working with housing developers and reviewing the city lands, innovative incentive plans can be shared with developers to increase housing and efficiently improve use of the city land. Parking and traffic congestion also needs to be rethought by both residence and businesses. The city needs to begin providing incentives to using mass transit. Businesses and developers will pass these incentives to the residents and patrons, which will go along way in improving parking and traffic congestion.
