I believe the Green Party can be a successful, viable, indepedent political party in the United States by combining

- a strong stance on the issues, based upon the party's Ten Key Values

together with

- a strategic approach of running for and winning municipal and county office, to demonstrate that Greens not only have good ideas, but can govern

and

- using higher profile races for state and federal office, to educate the public about Green Party approaches to issues, and to recruit new members into the party, who might not otherwise hear our message if we only focused on local race

I have most recently detailed my strategic vision for the Green Party of California, in this video of a strategic debate that occured at our state party gathering in the fall of 2005, in Oakland, California:
