My goal is to return California government to the voters. I believe the best way to do this is to start at the beginning-- give all candidates and issue campaigns more equal amounts of funding. This way, corporations and wealthy donors will no longer be able to buy public officials and mastermind the laws they make, the policies they establish. Politics can never be perfect, but everything will improve once this change happens.

For the past six years I've worked on campaign finance reform, volunteering with what is now called the California Clean Money Campaign. I speak to all sorts of groups about Clean Money and link the Campaign with activist religious communities.

I'm Valley Democrats United Legislative Outreach Liaison, which means I alert group members about what they can do to protect the environment, civil rights, freedom and overall quality of life; or to reverse harmful policies. I'm on the Kitchen Cabinet of Kitchen Table Democracy, a nonpartisan progressive political group.

I'm part of the Progressive Caucus California Impeachment group, which is planning a forum to publicize California Assemblyman Paul Koretz' (my assemblyman, I'm proud to state!) resolution to impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney. I also help Neighbors for Peace and Justice plan events. I volunteer for the Valley Grassroots for Democracy Democratic Club and Health Care for All, the citizen group advocating passage of State Senator Sheila Kuehl's universal health care bill.

I work as a grant writer and communications specialist, doing my best to convince foundations and wealthy individuals to fund healthcare groups, underserved children and adults, and spiritual organizations so they can continue to serve our community and grow. I've also written for magazines, edited newsletters, and reported and written news on tv and radio.
