MORALE

Candidate for Sheriff-Coroner-Public Administrator; County of Kern

OPEN DOOR POLICY
The concerns you will hear from my opponents are not new issues facing the Kern County Sheriff's Department. These are the same issues that have been addressed at every past election. More of the same. Budget issues, shortages of deputies on the streets, gang violence, and drugs. These problems have always been an issue in our community, and will continue to be for law enforcement.

The men and women who serve you, the entire staff of the Sheriff's Department is in desperate need of support and leadership to get the job done.

My motivation for entering this race is the fact that I have been made aware of numerous problems within the departments. I have come to the conclusion that the entire Sheriff's Department is gasping for breath due to bad decisions or the lack of. I have not seen the real leadership within the department under this administration.

The Sheriff sets the "Policy" within the department. I will be dedicated to providing an "Open Door Policy," to the entire staff. Restoring morale and integrity to the men and women of the department and to instill pride and dedication once again. I will also make it known that when you pin on that badge, you become one of the most powerful people on earth because you can take someone's freedom away, and this is not to be taken lightly! A change must take place. This is what I will deliver as your next Sheriff of Kern County with your support.
