Affordable Housing
Pat Higgins recognizes that with only 12% of Humboldt County residents able to afford the median priced home that we have an affordable housing crisis and he will make it a priority work with communities to increase affordable housing projects.
Expand Trail Systems to Link Communities
Pat Higgins will make it a priority to work with communities, land trusts, non-profit corporations and government agencies to expand trail systems before options for trail routes are lost due to development.
Klamath River Dam Removal and Pollution Abatement
Pat Higgins has fished the Klamath River since 1966 and studied it as a scientist since 1988. He knows the biology and politics of the basin and what needs to be done to restore the salmon and clean up water pollution.
