Candidate for
Member, Green Party County Council; County of Contra Costa

I am a Public Health epidemiologist who has lived in Contra Costa and worked for the Contra Costa County Health Services Department for the last eighteen years.

In 1989 I graduated from UC Berkeley with a Masters in Public Health, and I have been part of the local response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

I have volunteered in organizations supporting Public Health in developing countries (1995-2002)and I am a veteran of the anti-globalization "Battle of Seattle" (1999), a founder of the Richmond Greens (2001), our first local(http://www.richmondgreens.net), and also a founding member of the Richmond Progressive Alliance (2003) (http://www.richmondprogressivealliance.net) .

In 2004 I successfully ran Gayle McLaughlin's campaign for Richmond City Council. Currently I am Gayle MLaughling's campaign manager in her race for Mayor of Richmond (11/2006) (http://www.GayleMcLaughlin.net)

I live with my wife Kay Wallis and our daughter Lucy in Richmond.

I have been in the County Council for two years and I am seeking re-election for political independence, democracy and activism.
