The Democratic Party has been at the forefront of environmental and social improvement. I will continue to promote and communicate the urgency to protect our environment.
My candidacy represents a focus on environmental and social issues, at the local level. For a long time, I have been active in San Leandro promoting improvements in community health, traffic calming, and responsible housing and commercial development. In my current position as Environmental Justice Coordinator, I make presentations to various governmental agencies, as well as, to members of the public, local officials, and members of other environmental, non-profit organizations. I serve on the Governor's Transportation, Goods Movement Integrating working committee. Focus on Emission Reduction Plans for all transportation industries, such as the ports, railroads, trucks, and airports. I am also, a member of the Ditching Dirty Diesel, State Global Climate Change Committee, Neighborhood Aviation Committee San Leandro,and of course, Environmental Justice Air Quality Coalition which includes: Community for Better Environment, Greenaction, West County Toxic Coalition, Youth United of Paulo Alto, West Oakland Project, Urban Habitat, and Davis West Neighborhood Group. Vice-chair of Peacemakers Inc. As the Democratic Central Committee, 18th District representative, I will bring years of experience with the public and government on issues pertainin to "environmental, and social justice" issues. At the same time, as 18th District Representative, I bring more attention to issues in every venue. Thank you for your support.
