Key Issues

By Sheng Chang

Candidate for Member, City Council; City of Arcadia

This information is provided by the candidate
My stance on key issues affecting our City
  • QUALITY OF LIFE + can not be sacrificed with mere net increase of 1.2 million in city's tax revenue.

  • SENSIBLE DEVELOPMENT + any development should not result in the deterioration of Quality of Life.

  • BALANCED BUDGET + fiscal responsibility should be the cornerstone of a sound financial policy.

  • CITY SERVICES + Current civic services should be maintained and improved if necessary.

  • TRAFFIC CONGESTION + should be mitigated with newer technology, roadway improvements and proper public education if possible.

  • GANGS + a zero tolerance policy for any gang activities within the city.

  • SENIOR OUTREACH + sufficient senior services must be a top priority.

  • OPEN SPACE + seniors should not have to pay for admission to the Arboretum and Arcadians should pay half price.
