This year I am running as an independent candidate for Blue Ash City Council - Ward 2.

I have been a registered Republican all of my adult life. I chose the Republican party because Republicans were fiscally conservative, believed in less government control, were inclusive of all cultures, and promoted civil rights and women's rights. I have not changed my philosophy. I am sad that the national Republican Party has changed its philosophy. It is my hope that I can help the Republican party change back to its old values.

Even though I have always been a registered Republican, I retain the right to vote for whomever I believe is the best person for the position. I was not able to support George Bush + that was, and is, my right as an American Citizen!

Because I did not support George Bush, The Republican Party is running a "real republican" against me. I do not believe that national politics should enter into local politics. As a member of Blue Ash City Council I have always + and always will + make decisions based upon what is best for our ward and for our city. I have never + and never will + make decisions based upon what the party wants me to do.

I am not asking you to desert whatever party affiliation you may have + I am simply asking you to vote for me because I am the best person for this position.
