Questions & Answers

1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

Spent 6 years on Silverton City Council. The last 10 years as the Major, City of Silverton

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

The City currently has a 5 year street plan. We are trying to do one to two streets a year pending our financial situation. Work with SDI to act on their redevelopment recommendations. We must work on our business district. We are working on our zoning map to upgrade our business zoning. Continue to provide the quality services to our residents. Trying to improve the community to bring in young families.

3. What steps would you take to ensure that all public facilities are accessible to people with disabilities? (100 words limit)

Our public facilities are accessible to people with disabilities.

4. What specific steps will you take to expand recycling services in your community? (100 words limit)

Residents can currently contract with Rumpke for recycling. Other expansion would be a financial burden on our budget.

5. What steps would you take to provide affordable housing for all residents of your community? (100 words limit)

The City of Silverton has affordable housing.
