Muhit Rahman: 8550 Willow Run Court Cincinnati, OH 45243

Occupation: Finance/Private Equity Professional. Muhit is a managing director at Washington & Congress Managers, a private equity fund manager based in Boston, Massachusetts, and a principal at Arcade Partners, based in Tenafly, New Jersey. He manages investments in private businesses in which his group owns significant equity interests.

Education:

  • MBA, Anderson School of Management, UCLA
  • BS in Engineering, Yale University (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa)

Family: Married to Annie Rahman, who is currently co-president of the district's Primary and Elementary School PTO and part-time principal editor at the UCLA Borun Center for Gerontological Research.

The Rahman children attend three district schools: Asif, IHHS, 9th grade; Deena, IHMS, 8th grade; and Nadia, IHES, 3rd grade.

Community/Global Service:

  • Co-founder of the Indian Hill Scholars Group, an online discussion group for parents of IHHS students
  • IHMS Scrabble coach

  • Founder of the Bangladesh Relief Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating poverty in Bangladesh. BRF, among other projects, provides all of the funding for a K-4th grade school with a current enrollment of 76 students in a Bangladeshi village.

The Rahmans moved to Indian Hill in June, 1999, from Los Angeles, California, where they had lived for almost 20 years. With no family or work-related ties to the Cincinnati area, Muhit, 49, and his family selected Indian Hill as their new home solely for quality of life reasons--and chief among the reasons was the district's excellent school system.
