Historic Downtown Revitalization

By Dan Daly

Candidate for Council Member; City of Loveland

This information is provided by the candidate
We've seen some great results from taking aging City assets and turning them into vibrant, community assets. Converting the old public works building (behind City Hall) into a great, hometown restaurant (The Works) was a success in many ways.

We'll see similar results (minus the pizza) as The Bronner House transforms from a dilapidated old house into an office and The Little Miami River Lab. This was a truly exciting project that involved The City, a community-minded developer, and Little Miami Inc. all working to provide a valuable community asset.

City Staff continues to work with other property owners in Historic Loveland with a unified goal of bringing all properties to their best use as a family-friendly town center. Combined marketing efforts and the possiblity of using Tax Increment Financing are generating a lot of interest in this effort.
