Questions & Answers

1. What are your Qualifications for Office? (50 word limit)

I have served Amberley as a Planning Commission member for nearly eight years. My business background will allow me to help the Village increase revenues. Visit http://www.VoteTimCarter.com to see where I stand on all important issues.

2. What plans do you have to address your top three priorities? (100 word limit)

I plan to hold informal town meetings three times a year to harvest the powerful knowledge and experience that many residents possess. Informal meetings have never been held as long as I have lived here. It is my intention to open up the floodgates of information between residents of Amberley and the administration. For years, the elected officials and administration have seemed aloof and disinterested in all of the concerns of the residents.

3. What steps would you take to ensure that all public facilities are accessible to people with disabilities? (100 words limit)

To the best of my knowledge, our new village hall was built to be completely ADA compliant.

4. What specific steps will you take to expand recycling services in your community? (100 words limit)

My current business is based on the Internet. I plan to create a new section on the village website that teaches residents why recycling is important and what we all gain by doing it. This new section will have lots of color photos showing the correct way to recycle. There will also be helpful tips regarding other ways to recycle just about everything residents dispose of, including cardboard, rocks, soil and old paint.

5. What steps would you take to provide affordable housing for all residents of your community? (100 words limit)

I feel it would be worthwhile to investigate any and all grants and low-interest loans that may be available to those people who need affordable housing.
